Rock Run: Doe Run

Doe Run is a bouldering area at Rock Run in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, near Ralston. It has 15 problems from v1 to v9 across 5 boulders, with a 45-minute approach.

A backcountry bouldering zone with an approach that might shy away some. Relatively flat hiking, just long. Easily access off the old Ellenton Mountain Grade Road. The quality of the rock is variable and due to the size of some of the boulders bringing a rope might be useful.

Continue down the dirt road (off season) for 20 minutes (0.8 miles) passing the pipeline cut. Once past the pipe cut the road deteriorates into a primitive road. Continue for 12 minutes (745 yards) until you enter a grove of evergreens. Turn right (north) into the forest and find your way to the boulders in 5 minutes (330 yards). You should arrive at Tyson . You can follow the band of rock west for more climbing. To reach Darkside head uphill from and pick up some game trails along the rim of the outcropping to get you there.
