Sunfish Pond: Main Area
The beta
Main Area is a bouldering area at Sunfish Pond in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, near State Game Lands 12. It has 42 problems from v0 to v12 across 5 boulders, with a 5-minute approach.
High quality bouldering just a short distance from the road. The rock is great quality, finely textured sandstone with little to no contaminants. The Main Area arguably boasts some of the best stone on the LeRoy Mountain.
Look to the right for a giant stack of rocks. Hike directly west (through the clear cut) keeping your eye for the top of Tailspin Boulder which will be barely visible. It should take 3 minutes (190 yards) to reach the boulders. If the gate is open park on the right side of the road and make sure there is enough room for others to easily pass. If the gate is closed you will have to walk the road which adds about 6-8 minutes (310 yards).
