Bodine Mountain: Middle Fern

Middle Fern is a bouldering area at Bodine Mountain in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, near Trout Run. It has 12 problems from v5 to v12 across 2 boulders, with a 5-minute approach.

A small but, concentrated cluster of nice sandstone outcroppings. A great spot for quick sessions due to the proximity to the road. With many nooks and crannies, there are countless problems on this hillside (hike around). The best and most memorable problems are covered. Neglected ones will grow in over the years, so bring a brush.

From the parking, head west uphill towards the large outcropping on a herd path arriving at the Badger Cave A in a handful of minutes.
