Bodine Mountain: Lower Fern

Lower Fern is a bouldering area at Bodine Mountain in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, near Trout Run. It has 14 problems from v2 to v12 across 3 boulders, with a 7-minute approach.

Some of the best bouldering on the mountain with near-perfect stone and very interesting problems of all difficulties. A rope to access holds on the taller sections is suggested.

From the parking head east down the hill to an old logging road. Continue on this passing a perennial creek 4 minutes (210 yards). Continue on the herd path northeast for 3 minutes (120 yards) until you arrive Cave Bottom B. The rest of the boulders are along the same elevation on this mini outcropping. High concentration is covered here and everything else has been omitted. Look around and enjoy.
