52 degrees in January??

01.01.12

Who would have thought the fall climbing season would extend itself into January. Prime sending conditions lead to some crazy behavior on New Years Day. I headed out with some low energy, sleepy eyed and little to no syke due to only 4 hours of sleep but soon as the sunshine and warmth hit me it was on! Finally feels good to take down the last lingering projects at Squirrel Rock. What a great way to ring in 2012. Happy New Year everyone.

    AWWW YEAAHHH!!!

Well done buddy! I love watching your footwork and style on Shellshocked! Jealous that you’re out crushin’, these conditions are amazing for January and I’ve been sick and unable to climb for almost 2 weeks — ugh!

Strong, strong climbing Bri… keep it up! We need to arrange a climbing day together soon. Have you ever been to Governor’s Stable or Lincoln Woods? They’re supposed to be pretty decent in the winter I think (as good as northern bouldering can be anyhow).

      Hey Andy,
Thanks for the comment, I a totally down for GS this month, lets try to make it happen.

      NOTE:
You can see Tim Rose crushing with the og beta for shellshock at 6:12. http://youtu.be/9C1Ev_TMZqA.

Also Travis Gault FA his roof problem (Gal’s Roof) at 1:07 http://youtu.be/L3Jp-GD1SFk.

why is my beta always so funky? :)

Wow, I can’t believe how different Shellshocked looks in the Tim Rose vid. I already wanted to get on it after watching yours, but now that I see the holds close up and from different angles I’m even more intrigued!

Gal’s Roof looks fun too, not sure which I’d be more psyched on. Both great sends.

Yeah, GS will be a January destination for me for sure. I need to get my first paycheck from the new job first though, so it’ll be a couple weeks. Let’s just keep in touch, we’ll make it happen!
